FAQs
Here you’ll find answers to common questions about Arla lights, from how they’re made to delivery, installation and ongoing care.
Where are Arla products made?
All Arla lights are designed and handcrafted in our Christchurch workshop at the foot of the Port Hills. Each piece is made from the first sketch through to final assembly in-house.
Are Arla lights made to order?
Yes. Each Arla light is made to order. This allows us to offer a wide range of colours and configurations while avoiding overproduction and unnecessary waste.
What is the lead time?
Our standard lead time is approximately 8 weeks, excluding shipping. If you need a piece sooner, or require a specific finish or configuration, please contact us at hello@arlacollection.com.
Do lights come with bulbs?
Bulbs are not included unless otherwise stated on the product page. Recommended globe types are listed under Product Information for each light.
How are Arla lights installed?
All pendant and hardwired lights must be installed by a qualified electrician, in accordance with local wiring regulations. Table lamps are supplied ready to plug in.
Can I order a custom colour or size?
In some cases, yes. We’re happy to discuss custom colours, flex lengths, or project-specific requirements. Please get in touch with details of your request.
Do you ship internationally?
At present, we ship within New Zealand. For international enquiries, please contact us directly and we can discuss options.
What is your returns policy?
As all Arla products are made to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. If your product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a repair or replacement.
What warranty do you offer?
All Arla lights come with a two-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing faults and electrical components. This does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, or incorrect installation.
How should I care for my Arla light?
Please refer to our Product Care Guide for detailed care and cleaning instructions.
